My first version of my photo book is finally finished. My new book is hot off the presses at Blurb.Take a sneak peek. For those who really loves my photos you can order my high quality photo album via Blurb. Please have a Book Preview of the first 15 pages. The price of the Large Landscape size of Blurb isn't cheap but since I made this book for myself I don't mind. The next time I might consider to choose the standard Landscape size which is less than half the price.
Photo of front cover of Blurb photo book Large Landscape 13×11 inches (33×28 centimeters) 80 pages and 182 most popular photos of my stream.

My photo Fishin Together is printed in the BBC Lonely Planet magazine - issue November 2009. It's a double page print on page 10 and 11. It's the topic Postcard - Where you have been and what you've seen. The BBC contacted me for several photos. Finally they decided to choose the photo that I've been taken in Laos. The sun finally makes an appearance for me, rewarding me with beautiful photograph of lone fisherman in Laos.
It's fun to be in such popular magazine. They also added my Flickr icon. With my hat I'm easy to recognize. My Indiana Jones look ;-) I should have bought that hat when my daughter took this photo of me. Just for the fun. I haven't received a printed version yet.
Printed text in magazine: During a seven-hour bus ride from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, we passed endless villages, bamboo huts, rice paddies and banana trees, all surrounded by the mystique of low-lying clouds on a hazy day. We paused only to honk at water buffalo or goats standing on the road. For three-and-a-half hours, we climbed north into the highlands, through valleys and ridges of tropical vegetation. Finally, at the end of the day, the sun came through and the sunset was amazing. Luckily, the bus had to stop due to roadworks - I saw the clouds and the fisherman, but didn't notice the dog, and managed to capture the breathtaking scenery through the bus window. Ben Visbeek lives in Amsterdam with his wife and two kids, and has been taken photographs since he was eight..

Our Dutch National museum Rijksmuseum presents the first exhibition devoted to Hendrick Avercamp, the foremost painter of Dutch winter landscapes in the 17th century. They published my photo on their winter brochure 2009/2010. Avercamp was the first Dutch artist to specialize in paintings of winter landscapes featuring people enjoying the ice. Some 400 years on, our image of life in the harsh winters of the Golden Age is still dominated by Avercamp’s ice scenes with their splendid narrative details of couples skating, children pelting each other with snowballs and unwary individuals falling through the ice. Avercamp also devoted space in his winter landscapes to the day-to-day hardships that the long, harsh winters of the period caused: a man laid out flat on the ice, another chopping wood to heat his house, a woman washing clothes in the freezing water and market traders trying to sell their wares. The tremendous diversity of figures in Avercamp’s paintings is a colourful illustration of 17th-century fashions among countryfolk and fishermen all the way up to the highest aristocrats.
Our Dutch National museum - Rijksmuseum selected my photo for their winter brochure 2009/2010. They presents the first exhibition devoted to Hendrick Avercamp, the foremost painter of Dutch winter landscapes in the 17th century. His vistas of frozen rivers and canals go back in time but today we could skate again in the canals of Amsterdam.

My two skating photos taken last year won the photo competition of the residents of the Jaap Eden flat. Jaap Eden was a Dutch athlete to have won World Championships titles in speed skating in 1893. That's why the inhabitants choose my two photos to be printed on their flat wall.
