This is a moment I captured on Tonquin beach, named after the ship named 'tonquin, that arrived here in 1811 and ended in a furious event over a trading dispute and insulting an elder short after.
For me Tonquin is still a place with different emotions. In the summer it can get quite crowded. Lot's of families, groups having fun and at least 20 dogs ;-)
In the winter it's a rather lonely place that is showing quite some teeth when the storms are happening.
Anyways, my photo is an ode to the beauty, shelter and tranquility that this place has provided me over the last decade.
