A low-lying expanse of limestone connects Cape Croker to the base of the Bruce Peninsula. It's commonly known as 'the prairie' but better described as an unusual alvar, just a few metres above lake level. On this morning, I arrived just in time to catch the heavy morning fog lifting. The vegetation was all coated with large dew droplets that sparkled in the sun, making for an unforgettably magical scene.
