This Italian parasol wing plane was about the last design of the Ansaldo factory, identified as the Ansaldo Sport 1 (A.S.1) in 1928. In 1929 the Ansaldo factory was bought by the big Fiat concern and the machine became identified as the Fiat-Ansaldo A.S.1 and later as Fiat A.S.1. That's the way big firms 'eat' smaller firms.
This private touring machine was powered by a 85/100 hp Fiat A.50 7-cylinder engine. Although small this machine became famous in record flights of which the most publicized were the flights from Italy to Janpan in 1930 and the Round Africa flight in 1931.

A Breda 15 monoplane two-seater in the UK with civil registration G-AAVN (c/n. 1414) which from April 1930 untill scrapped in 1932. A fine looking machine, powered here with a de Havilland Gipsy I of 100 hp. This construction did give almost no view fro the pilot right front. Through the extensive glazing he had a good view sideways and some view almost to the front.

The Italian pusher biplane financed by Francesco Filiasi which was tested in June 1910 in Centocelle.
As evidenced on the picture the machine might have done some flying or hopping. An elaborate pusher biplane construction with ailerons fitted between the wings, a double elevator in the front and twin rudders at the back. As there was little in the press after the tests in June 1910 it was presumably not proceded with.

This picture can be dated - given the machines that are visible - around 1925 - 1926. Italy took during this Mussolini time great pride at their big air force.
From left to right are visible:
Fiat B.R. / B.R.1 A two-seat biplane bomber, fitted with a 700 hp Fiat A-14 engine
Fiat-Ansaldo A.120 A two-seat parasol wing, a recponnaissance plane
Fiat C.R.20 Single seat biplane fighter.
Caproni Ca. 73 A biplane bomber, fitted with two engines in a tractor / pusher combination between the wings. This machine can be readi;y distinguished by the shorter upper wing.
Sometimes less than knowledgeable dealers try to sell this picture as WW1 vintage. It is not.
