I waited and waited for it to perch on a twig or even some grass - but it prefered to sun on the rocks or on the ground.

...from September last year. I haven't been out much, hunting dragonflies this year.
The weather hasn't been co-operative (too windy, cloudy, rainy or chilly), I haven't felt well enough or I have been busy with other things etc.
In short; I miss the dragonflies, so here is a nice moment from last year!
This male Migrant hawker choosed to rest on my fingertips when I held out my hand
- a very nice moment and I had the camera ready (with the proper lens on too).
Note; I didn't capture him - he came by himself to my fingers.
