This is a 53 shot panorama of the Crux & Carina region of the Milky Way above a dry Lake Norring, 2.5 hours south east of Perth in Western Australia.

This was a forced composition, the only respite from 50km/h winds was between two outcrops of large boulders so that's where I began the first panorama of this long night. Thankfully the winds abated later on. Crux is adjacent to the large, dark Coalsack Nebula almost dead centre of the image with the pink Carina Nebula directly above it. The smaller pink splotch inbetween the two is the Lambda Centauri Nebula.

This is an 872 shot, dusk to dawn star trails image taken at Lake Norring, 2.5 hours south east of Perth in Western Australia.
This night started off with possibly the worst wind I have ever had to contend with, which forced me to find the only spot that had some shelter from the crazy wind.

The wind wasn't the only thing we had to contend with as you can see in the middle of the image, just above the horizon, are a line of satellite trails thanks to Starlink. Oh yeah, that's not snow on the ground, it's salt

This is a 50 shot panorama of the Southern Hemisphere's Summer Milky Way arch above a large dead tree at Marradong, 1.5 hours south east of Perth in Western Australia.

This image was taken with a 20nm narrow band hydrogen alpha filter which allows the capture of much more h-alpha data from those Ha emitting regions of the night sky such as Orion & Barnard's Loop, seen here on the left side of the image. The most prominent region on the right side of the image, just above Carina, is the large Gum Nebula. Almost in the middle is the very aptly named Seagull Nebula while on the far left is the California Nebula. In the top right, though not a strong Ha emitting region, is the Large Magellanic Cloud.

This is an 86 shot star trails image started about an hour after sunset at Lake Ninan, 2 hours north east of Perth in Western Australia. I had intended to keep my camera shooting until moonrise, around 5 hours later, but unfortunately the intervalometer malfunctioned less than an hour into the night while I was off taking panoramas with my other camera. These things happen I guess. Still, happy with the result regardless.
