It was such a surreal sight to see so much water in the basin, it was such a perfect mirror, that it almost didn't feel real. And to have a sky so full of texture, layers and patches of blue, what a treat to have a sky like that for this one. I am glad that we changed our trip plans again to see this not so often occurrence. I was afraid I would miss out on seeing it.

The color was so fleeting, I almost missed it all entirely. I was setup under the pier doing the classic composition when the clouds on the horizon started to light up in shades of pink and purple...I opted for a short exposure to catch the overlapping lines of waves coming in rather than a longer one to blur them.

I spent two days at Laguna Seca Raceway for Rennsport Reunion 7. What an awesome experience. What an awesome race track with views and backdrops that looked like they came out of a movie set or a commercial. Most of the images I created were more abstract or scenic, wide angle to include that amazing scenery, storytelling and light were important elements in the images that are my favorite from the event. This one is one of those, a Vintage 356 B Carerra racing up the back straight through the rolling golden hills of California.
