A young humpback whale repeatedly head slaps in Monterey Bay, CA. This whale breached over 150 times in a one hour period along with his/her mother. It was an experience I won't soon forget.
Taken aboard the Pt. Sur Clipper on Monterey Bay Whale Watch all day trip on 5/14/21.

A young orca spyhops next to the gray whale carcass. The killer whales use each other to grab onto the carcass and rip off chunks of blubber by pulling against each other for leverage. This whale was part of the family of killer whales, which attacked and killed a young gray whale the previous day. The whale is feasted on for as much as two days after a kill and shared between many killer whales.
