The former Sophie’s Bar and Expressions Dance House on Argyle Street in the town centre could be turned into three flats.
The building already has two flats on the first floor, and the developer wants to create the apartments on the ground floor.
The dance school closed twelve months ago due to “lack of support”, according to planning documents.
Architect Robert Graham said: “The Dance School was a good facility, but having closed, we feel that the use proposed is ideal for this location, creating a beneficial presence to this area of town.”

On the corner of Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, unveiled
