As part of a launch event for the Love Food, Love Preston campaign a world record attempt took place to see who can eat the most parched peas in 30 seconds. Tables were set out for people to come and join in the fun and try to eat 41 peas in 30 seconds to make history and break the record set last year.
Freddie Flintoff previously set the record in 2012 when he managed to eat 38 peas in half a minute.
