....and now for something completely different! An impressionist image I've created of Dowles Brook in the Wyre Forest not far from my home in Kidderminster. The image was made by moving the camera left and right and then up and down, during a long exposure.

One of my (many!) New Year's resolutions is to be a bit more creative with my photography....here's an attempt!

I hope everyone has a happy and prosperous 2017.

The wall on the top of Clee Hill, that someone has graffited a joker onto, looks better in the snow. I had to take the image pretty smartly as the snow was vanishing quickly. Where was all the heavy snow we were promised?....the weather forecasters got it wrong again as usual.

Hans's www.flickr.com/photos/hansdavis/ Canon 5D IV and my Canon 1DX II at Derwent Water in the Lake District. Thought I would post this image, taken on my iPhone, as I thought it was a little unusual.
If you have any equipment questions about any of the hardware in this image, then please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks for looking.

As hurricane Ophelia moved north it pulled with it sand from the Sahara and smoke from the forest fires in Portugal. These pollutants got taken high into the atmosphere where they cut out light from the blue end of the spectrum but allowed red to get through. This resulted in a very strange and unusual sunset on the evening Ophelia passed through. I managed to get a shot of this while in Cornwall for the storms.
Thanks for looking.
