Experimenting with drilling holes into unexposed roll film before loading into the camera.
The film is expired Fuji Velvia ISO 50 slide film, I drilled the holes in the shape of the constellation Orion.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for July is the 126 (or Instamatic) cartridge which was introduced in 1963. It was made for the Kodak Instamatic range of cameras, and was produced until around 2008. The format gave 28mm x 28mm square negatives and the vast majority of cameras made to use it were very simple and basic. The only film available now is long expired, so this was taken using Lomochrome Metropolis film loaded into an old 126 cartridge. The camera is a Kodak Instamatic 233-X.

This was the last frame taken on a 35mm film refill which I bought in Moscow in 1977. It was more a souvenir than something I planned to use, but I thought it seemed appropriate to try it out in the Sigma Mark 1 camera that I took with me to the USSR over 40 years ago.
It is a black and white film rated at GOST 250, which according to the box equates to 250 ASA (ISO).
Such old film will inevitably have deteriorated, especially as it has been stored in a whole range of unsuitable places. Anticipating a loss of sensitivity, I shot it at ISO 50, and developed it in Rodinal 1:100 semi-stand for 1 hour. The negatives were very thin, but at least it wasn't a complete failure.

This was the first frame taken with an Ensign E29 camera. I've had the Houghton and Butcher Ensign E29 for many years, but never got around to using it, as it takes the long obsolete L29 rollfilm. I found a roll of this recently, it expired in 1938, and I wasn't surprised that when I shot it and developed it, the film was completely black. I used the spindle and backing paper to re-roll some cut down 120 film, the cutting was done with scissors in a changing bag, and is a bit rough! The white area is where the film got stuck together in the developer.

I started my 52 cameras in 52 weeks project on 1st January 2010. It got rather out of hand and lasted a whole decade. Each week, without fail, I used a different film camera, a total of 522.
After 10 years, I am relaxing the pace and using "new" cameras as and when I feel like it.
