Catching the last rays of the setting winter sun on Bamford Edge in the Peak District National Park, England.
The big dark hole in the foreground is one of two vertical spillways next to the Ladybower Reservoir dam. When the water level rises high enough, they allow it to safely overflow through the dam and down to the River Derwent below. They're affectionately known as "plugholes", and many local children grow up believing they lead all the way to the centre of the Earth! 😀

Completed in 2015, The Diamond was built to be the new home for the Department of Engineering at the University of Sheffield. It took two years to build, at a cost of £81 million. The six-floor building takes its name from its unique facade, which comprises a cellular pattern of interconnected diamond shapes made of anodised aluminium, inspired by the form of diamond at a molecular level, over a frame of reinforced concrete and exterior glass cladding.
