"The trees haven't got enough soil," I complained, "and it's weird and stupid to call this a 'garden.' Shame on Dallas."

I see where somebody has been trying to inhibit the vines' spread by severing the stems from the roots.

This is the back wall of a parking garage. According to my analysis of historical imagery on Google Streetview and Google Earth, this part of the garage was built in 2018-2019, and it is currently in use, even though it looks unfinished (as of early 2024).

The vines first appeared in 2021-2022: See them with green leaves in May of '22.

According to a reasonably well-referenced Wikipedia article about the building, it was built as a Blue Cross Blue Shield building in 1958-1960, then remodeled with glass panels in 1982, after Blue Cross Blue Shield moved out. In the foreground is a yellow guardrail parking lot.

KEEP STARING AT THE PICTURE UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS. Just kidding!

I was lifted from the ground and I floated in mid-air toward the building, gently at first and then rapidly accelerating, and I was very frightened, and that's the last thing I remember. I learned later that I had been slammed against the side of the building, then had fallen to the ground. I'm okay now.
