This Little Owl takes flight as he moves along the Drystone wall which he was using to watch the ground for any surfacing worms or other morsels.

Fortunately this Little Owl allowed me to approach quite close which considering I was using my 500mm and 2x converter shows just how "little" these guys are! Was difficult to find gaps in the branches to get clear shots without getting to close and also with a dry stone wall stopping me from moving any further to the right,initially shot from my car window before parking and walking back to the spot to chance my arm,which luckily paid off.

Suns up and the little guy is warming up in the sunshine,thankfully he was happy to pose for me for a while before I let him be,ironically he took flight after I turned away and started to walk back to my car and flew off down behind some buildings where he sat on a wall continuing to enjoy the sunshine.
