This was 1 of 2 Fox kits I had the good fortune to photograph in Yellowstone National Park during my visit in May,2013. This was taken shortly after the Male had returned the den with the Kit popping out one of the Den exits.

During a recent trip to Yellowstone I was very fortunate to find this lone Grey Wolf (thought to be Middle grey)walking through the Lamar Valley checking out the Bison Herds for any unprotected calves.As she progressed along the valley this Coyote seemed to appear from nowhere and proceeded to harass the wolf all the way until the wolf had enough and disappeared up over the hillside. Wether the Coyote had pups near by or not it was unusual to see a Coyote getting itself so close to Wolf especially given the history between the 2 mammals. Lucky this Wolf seemed to be more of a pacifist than a fighter!
