Well great news on Tuesday that the female Osprey has returned to the Loch of the Lowes nest site for unbelievably her 20th year in a row!!!
Now we are just waiting to hopefully see the return of her partner (pictured) of the last 16 years in the next few days.

Fingers crossed.

Well its March and these birds will be beginning the long migration back to Scottish Shores so thought I would add some pictures from last year.

Soring over the Loch looking for movement under the waters surface.

With an eye on a target the wings begin to beat as he steadys himself above his target.

Here the male is just coming into the hover above the Loch while checking for possible targets.
