The juvenile male Kingfisher begging the male parent bird on the right for food, the male paid no attention and left soon after, trying to encourage the youngster to fend for himself.

A Tornado Gr4 with wings in 67° Sweep position passes at Low Level against a recently ploughed field giving it a surreal look as you would normally have grass, rocks or bushes and trees as a backdrop when the RAF do their thing.

Looking through some old files and found this shot from RAF Leuchars back in 2010,this shows a Tornado F3 departing the main runway in afterburner and full "Q" Fit as the crew are dispatched to intercept an aircraft which had ventured to close inside the UK`s territorial airspace (Pesky Russians!),you can see the 4 Skyflash missiles on the underside of the aircraft aswell as 4 other air to air missiles split 2 under each wing,i`m not going to pretend I know what they are but it would either be AIM-9 Sidewinders or Asraam I think? Anyway lots of "jelly" air and afterburners as they embarked on a sortie that would last over 3 1/2 hours

I posted a close up image of this previously as I liked the amount of detail I manage to catch, but here is the entire image complete with reflection as the bird is about to hit the water,Kingfisher at Scottish Photography Hides.

A suggestion by our guide on our 2nd morning at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska to set an early morning alarm paid dividends! He advised that low tide would be just prior to sunrise and that the forecast was for a nice morning and did we want to head out and see if any bears out clamming on the sands....easy answer...of course we will! Was a great morning as predicted by our guide and we were rewarded with some gorgeous light and silhouettes for our breakfast date with this Coastal Brown Bear.
