*Das Leuchten der Krokusse im Gegenlicht*
The crocus meadow in front of the house at the peak of bloom last Sunday.
A few years ago I started planting crocus bulbs of different varieties and colors in the meadow in September. There are now more and more of them and it's a real riot of color during the flowering period.
Die Krokuswiese vor dem Haus auf dem Höhepunkt der Blüte am vergangenen Sonntag .
Vor einigen Jahren habe ich damit begonnen, Krokuszwiebeln verschiedener Sorten und Farben jeweils im September auf die Wiese zu pflanzen. Es werden inzwischen immer mehr und ist ein echter Farbrausch zur Blütezeit.

I've always wanted to experience Goðafoss in winter, but when I was there I actually felt like I was in the poem by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben: it was bitterly cold, a strong wind was blowing from the north-east and it was snowing almost non-stop . While the waterfall was a spectacular sight, I wished there was some color in the sky at sunrise and sunset.

Summer is a wonderful time to photograph Vestrahorn in East Iceland. The sun rises and sets directly behind the mountain at this time of the year, and it is windless more often than at other times of the year, so there is a very good chance of a reflection in the shallow water of the lagoon.
In fact, this was the first time in a week that an interesting sunset showed up

I certainly wouldn't want to return to the Covid period, but it definitely had some advantages for photography. When the country was in locksown, with no restaurants open and no sightseeing boats on the canals, it was possible to photograph the the gabled houses of Amsterdam with their reflections in the canals and in the Amstel River. It was a unique time and I'll be forever glad that I got to witness and photograph this.
