This Canada Lynx (Lynx canadensis) was very cooperative in allowing for several images when it stopped on the edge of some shrubs while we were visiting Denali National Park in Alaska, U.S.A.

This opportunity arose while we were on a bus tour of the aprs as part of the Princess Cruise of Alaska.

17 June, 2010.

This Song Sparrow must be happy to find spring had finally sprung. He was sitting still and singing beautifully on a good perch in the open without paying any notice to me. I was glad to capture his side profile at the right moment.

I like the morning light showing on him. In the background, a spruce tree branch in the distance provided an uncluttered, nicely blurred backdrop, making the overall image scheme quite pleasing.

Nikon D500 w/ 500mm f4G +1.4X, f7.1, -2/3EV, ISO 800. uncropped.
(Taken on: May, J.E. Poole Wetland, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.)

Thank you all very much for the visits and comments.
