I've been holding off on posting this one until I could get a good photo out of it. I recently got a larger setup so it was about time. I also had to fix a couple of things I wasn't happy with on the original like the waist being way to wide and looking a bit awkward.
This also ended up winning Best Bionicle Humanoid at BrickFair Virginia last year, so you can thank DViddy (Patrick Biggs) for that. I tend to take a lot of inspiration from his builds so I guess it's fitting he'd want to nominate it.

Made this a few months ago to try and get back into landscaping/castle stuff. Not perfect but as a first attempt in about 2 years I think I did a decent job. I'm working on a landscape/castle type MOC right now and it's already turning out better than this so hopefully this'll be a low point from here on out.
Biggest thing I need to work on are trees but it turned out ok enough here.
Also minor technical difficulty with the background. Originally wanted a slight gradient but compression made it look crappy on flickr. Also meant the file size went down by a few megabytes.

This is basically just a high effort shitpost. I went ahead and revamped what is often sited as the worst Bionicle set ever made. Denounced for it's use of highly specialized pieces, I tried my best to make absolutely everything custom.
I used this as an excuse to try out a bunch of weird techniques I haven't used before. It isn't perfect but I really don't feel like working on it that much anymore. I'll try to make some more polished stuff in the future using these sort of techniques
