we did a little back country camping this weekend. This was how our camping spot looked as we arrived on Saturday.

From Buller creek parking lot to Ribbon Lake - Total km return (about 20 km) elevation gained (and lost and gained and lost again) over 671. We also hiked down to Ribbon Falls on Sunday before heading out. Adding another 4 or 5 km on the day. We didn't carry our heavy packs on that hike though!

On the way home Sunday. We had the mountain to ourselves.

We stopped for a few minutes to just listen to nature. That's when I noticed the big horn sheep (on the left in the distance). Oh and there is an awfully cute marmot who hangs out about 1/2 way up the ridge.
