This is a panoramic shot, comprised of nine originals, and done hand-held, which explains why it is off-axis. These are the lights which Coquitlam municipality puts up around Lafarge Lake each year. You can walk around the lake (takes about 25 minutes) and enjoy the changing display. The lights are LEDs, so the cost of the exhibition, in terms of power, is not great. In terms of man-hours, perhaps, yes, it is a little pricey. But beautiful, just the same.

The entrance to the walk is this long archway, with various coloured displays on either side.

The beauty of the lights is amplified by their being cast around the shore, meaning that you get twice the lights. On this night there was no wind, so the reflections were fairly crisp and lovely.

On the far side of the lake from where we started. By this point, my fingers were quite numb from shooting without gloves.

The Community Centre wisely did not try to outshine other areas of the display. I don't know what the white things in front of the building were supposed to be, unless some sort of plant life.
