Over 2 months ago we booked (and paid for) an affordable 13 day Spanish holiday over Xmas & New Year.

Yesterday they said they won't be going from Liverpool and that I'd only booked an 8 day holiday ~ in spite of me having an invoice confiming a 13 day duration break and paid the total amount well in advance..

Obviously I've demanded a full refund, which they've now agreed to.
However, it's now too late to book for Xmas with anyone else.
Also, our son & daughter & families who usually come to us at Christmas, have now made other arrangements.

Additionally, a long time good neighbour's [ex-pat] son is flying in from America for the holidays and we've told him he can have our house while we're away in Spain.

Northern Holidays? Avoid them like the plague.
And, please pass this on.
