On a remaining piece of PRR's Panhandle mainline in Riverdale, Illinois, the molten steel train known as the Bottle Train rolls the molten steel bottle cars into Cleveland Cliffs Steel's former Acme Riverdale plant from Cliff's former Inland Steel Indiana Harbor Works plant in East Chicago, Indiana.
NS inherited this interesting operation from Conrail but has recently ended due to the Riverdale plant being shuddered.
NS GP38-2 5337 began life as CR 8170, and was built by EMD for Big Blue in June of 1977.
