Went on a trip back home to Vietnam with my E-P1. Took out the FD 50mm mainly for portraits but still managed a good street-style pic. If you look carefully, you can see the half-eaten baguette on the guy's hand. He was very deep in thought.

My new pet - a corn snake. The Corn Snake (Elaphe guttata), or Red Rat Snake, is a North American species of Rat Snake that subdues its small prey by constriction i.e. they are not venomous. In the pet trade, corn snakes are known as good for beginners because they are relatively smaller, docile and placid. They also come in a great variety of colours. Mine is a "normal motley" i.e. it's the normal corn snake color with merged spots pattern and no checker belly. The color gene is dominant while the pattern gene is recessive so it was a good find for what it cost.
I personally would prefer a guinea pig or a dog but my flat has a "no pet with 4 legs" rule. Nevertheless, I think a corn snake is a fantastic low-maintenance alternative.
