Now I will start a very biiiig series of pictures concerning our holidays in the Pantanal, in Brasil. I hope you will learn about this region through my photos.

This is a picture I'm quite proud of. It's also typical of the Pantanal, you can see a gate on the left, the start of a small road going to a farm (fazenda).

This is a sign placed on the Transpantaneira, the only (big) road going through the whole Pantanal (Mato Grosso) and indicated the start of this region, even if geographically the sign is already much inside this region. But it welcomes the visitor! The sunset atmosphere adds much to the picture!

First animal picture: we saw these birds (on of them is a roseate spoonbill) on the side of the Transpantaneira. Sadly it was already quite dark but the picture came out not too bad. The Nikon D4 is a good camera!
