I recently got a B+W ND1000x filter, which lets you do very long exposures in daytime.

This is a over 2 minute exposure, mid-afternoon while a cold november wind blew the clouds by. Processed as a HDR from a single raw file to bring out as much detail as possible.

I used my ND400 filter at Toronto's Eaton Centre tonight. The filter reduces the incoming light by 400 times so you can do quite long exposures. This is a 10 second exposure looking south towards Queen from the mezzanine. In my 30 second exposures, no one is visible.
