I just got back from camping at Macgregor Point provincial park.

This is my favorite spot I saw over my 5 days there called Sunset Point. You'll be seeing a lot of photos from this wonderful park in the coming while, but to start with here is a video I took with my trusty point&shoot to capture the moment. I love the way the waves brake in two directions.

It was sure windy.

Sunset Point, Macgregor Point Provincial Park. It was a windy day as you can see in this video. I had to push my tripod down into the wet sand and block the wind with my body to keep the camera steady for this 96 second exposure.

I used ND400 and ND8 filters to allow me to get this long exposure during sunset.

This frog was hanging out on a warm rock in Macgregor Point provincial park. It let me get up close with my infrared camera.

I couldn't work out a great composition, I was afraid it would hop away if i moved too much but take a look at the full size version to enjoy the interesting details. Frogs look weird in infrared!

This lake is the home to many turtles and also an interesting lake plant for infrared photography - it lives just below the surface and reflects infrared well. It covers the whole lake. Its name escapes me now though.. It was a great spot to spend some breaktime from my hike though.

best seen large.

There was an amazing variety of rocks at the very tip of Sunset Point in Macgregor Point Provincial Park. I dont think any two looked like they came from the same place.

This is 6 photographs stitched together and taken in Infrared. It didn't stitch perfectly but its a moment i'm happy to have spent, it was amazing listening to the waves breaking all around me while standing at the point.
