A male Rosebreasted Grosbeak! He's actually been here a few days but is very skittish so this is my first shot!
The colloquial name is 'cut-throat' due to its coloration
They are members of the cardinal family and can fly approximately 20-30 mph! They are also song birds. RBGs usually build their nest about 20 ft above ground. And it is their migration time in our area!
I hope he stays and calls up his whole family to come!

Most of our azaleas are spent now, except this double Dubonnet which just came out...Had to have a pic before the storms come later!

This Pup is bigger, stronger, and faster than you think! It has a double coat with the inside being soft as cotton; The outside is coarser and longer, so if some predator thinks he's got her, Oopsy-no deal!

I had to name him because he hung around for his picture.The claws don't show here but he is a male with VERY long claws, to defend his territory! Worked for me!
