High on the moors around my home town is The Singing Ringing Tree. This art piece is situated at Crown Point, overlooking Burnley, and resembles a tree bending with the wind.
This is one of four of the Lancashire Panopticons, this one designed by architects Tonkin-Liu
in the form of a musical tree, Made of tubular steel, the tree 'sings' when it is windy, and air passes over the open ends of the steel tubes.
