Christ Church Episcopal of Shrewsbury
380 Sycamore Avenue
Shrewsbury, NJ 07702

Christ Church (Episcopal), Shrewsbury is a historic church building at the junction of Broad Street and Sycamore Avenue in Shrewsbury, Buildings and structures. It was built in 1769 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

American Soldiers used Christ Church as a barracks during the Revolutionary War. The church, which is now Episcopalian, was then Anglican, or 'Church of England'. As such, it was a symbol of the British Crown, and the Soldier’s fires shots at the pulpit and the orb and crown on the steeple. The same orb stills sits on the steeple, and retains the damage it received from being shot at. There is also still a musketball embedded in the wood of the church.
