Pups are 7 weeks already! Here is Cinnamon posing for me. Such a cutie pie, I think he might just keep those big blue eyes.

I haven't posted in awhile, but some of you have followed along in Trinity's adventures from the time she was born, and so I wanted to share this.

I sadly had to say goodbye to my best friend. From the moment I witnessed Trinity take her first breath, to the heart wrenching moment she took her last our bond was sealed. Born last and smallest in her litter, she struggled to get her first breath of air, but after a few terrifying moments we all were relived when she finally came to life. She raised a tiny paw, it was as though she was saying, "everything is okay, I'm here." I was fortunate enough to get a blurry photo of the moment. I decided then that she'd stay with me and I'd always be there for her.
As our journey together unraveled, she became my anchor. In her youth, she was my trusted adventurer, accompanying me on many memorable outings. I still fondly recall our misadventure at City Hall, I decided to let her off leash just for a second to wet her paws in the fountain. To my horror (and embarrassment) she rushed off sprinting through the water like a crazed puppy for several minutes before stopping just out of reach and squatted and peed in the water in the middle of Nathan Phillips Square for all to see.
I trained her as a pup to put a paw over her nose and cover her face, and over time used this gesture to seemingly convey her playful mischief, her subtle disagreements and her endearing moment of coy defiance. Her wit and humor remained intact, even as as age began to take it's toll.
Time is seems, is the one thing we could not escape. Trinity changed with the seasons transitioning from playful pup to a radiant, majestic canine. After 13.5 wonderful years her vibrant spirit was weighed down by age. Our walks became slower, shorter and more contemplative. I would sometimes wrap a blanket under her belly to help lift her when age made her weak and bring her meals to her so she didn't have to take unnecessary attempts to stand.
Toward the end, her zest for life waned, and the things she once loved became burdens. The medicines failed to mask the pain and and her eyes told me she longed for relief. She passed peacefully with her chin resting in my hands
Goodbye Trinity, your pawprints have forever marked my heart. πŸΎπŸ’”
