It is hard to choose between Nikon D5 and Nikon D850 in Bird in flight photography because the Nikon D5 has a better auto-focus system but the Nikon D850 has a higher resolution. With the Nikon D5 you can take more pictures in Focus than you do with the Nikon D850. If you buy an 8k monitor in the future then it is better to shoot with the Nikon D850 because of its higher resolution. You can also upscale the photos from the Nikon D5 in Photoshop with a bit lower image quality but if the pictures are not in focus you can’t do anything.
