Shortly after this photograph was taken, Seymore left the group for a promising career in televangelism and taxidermy. Without his soulful accordion the group stopped playing polkas at weddings and went into a brief decline.

After launching an armada of schooners to Europe to participate in the Franco-Prussian War, Captain Xavier D. Peg was disappointed to learn he could not expand the conflict to the sea. Never the less, Otto von Bismarck was touched by great uncle Xavier's gallantry and awarded him several unique decorations to just go away.

Great Uncle Xavier took his schooners and his motley crew of French midgets and Acadian refugees to the Caribbean where he established a thriving business smuggling coffee tea and Haitian goofer dust into the port of New Orleans.
