The situation in West Texas is dire because of the drought and the wildfires that have devastated the region but every cloud has a silver lining. The birds and other wildlife are congregating to feeding stations for water and food. I had an easy time with the grosbeaks that came in looking for nourishment.
La situación en el Oeste de Texas está desesperada a causa de la sequía y de los incendios de matorrales y forestales que han arrasado la región. No obstante no hay mal que por bien no venga. La avifauna y otra fauna se han acudido a los comederos en busca de agua y comida. Fue fácil fotografiar estos picogordos azules cuando se aparecieron buscando alimento y agua.

These blue grosbeaks were all over the place at the Davis Mountains State Park. I am sure they were looking for a place to cool off. Even in Fort Davis, Texas it was dry and hot!
Estos picogordos azules estaban por todos lados en el Parque Estatal Davis Mountains. Estoy seguro de que andaban buscando un lugar para refrescarse. Hasta en Fort Davis, Texas, hacía calor y estaba muy seco.
