A short trip to Ibaraki to capture this Torii gate! Reached this place early in the morning and tide level is not at it best. Given only 4 hours window to work something out at this location as need to rush back to Tokyo for bus transfer to Kawaguchiko for UTMF event. Took couple of shots and waited for 2 hours for the right level of tide. Still not what I am looking at but it was sufficient to 'hide' more surrounding rocks given the time I had.

This image was taken after couple of big splashes of waves towards the rocks and leaving quite abit of amount of sea water dripping off the rocks back to the sea. So it was again a waiting game. And making it sweater, a bird came by and pretty much kept still for the whole exposure, 30sec!

I saw many videos about how rough Pacific Ocean can be and I had witness it that day though that is still not the roughest!

Hope you all like it!

PS: Special thank you message for Stephen Cairns to introduce me to this location.
