You Take Me Where I Want to Go by Shelley Newman, 43 Guelph Street, Georgetown: Shelley is a landscape oil painter with a studio at Williams Mill Creative Arts Studios. She studied commercial art in college and worked for several years in advertising and design, as a professional graphic artist. Shelley has had her work displayed in many solo, group and juried shows and is an elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists. She has work in many private collections throughout North America. As seen in this work, Shelley paints her impressionistic expression of Ontario with movement and energy.

George Kennedy Mural: This mural portrays George Kennedy (1799-1870), the founder of Georgetown who built a saw and grist mill near this site. Behind him can be seen Wilber Lake, a mill-pond which later filled the area at the base of Mill Street, and an early 1900’s view of Main Street looking northward.
