Holy Sepulchre was built in 1889 under the direction of the Right Reverend T. L. Dowling, Bishop of the Hamilton Diocese. It was the first place of worship for the Holy Rosary Parish, established in July 1947. After three years the parish moved into its threeroom school at 261 Plains Road East. A new church was built in 1987 at 287 Plains Road East.
