Founded in 1926, originally as an importer and distributor of dry goods and clothing, but later became Canadian distributor and manufacturer of toys, and was Canada's oldest toy company. In 2001, the company was sold to a private investment company, and the factory building was sold year and a half later, and turned into the Old Factory Lofts.

In 1991, Artscape was instrumental in transforming the Liberty Village from a largely vacant industrial complex to where arts and design studios flourished. There are 46 studios inside this building.

The artwork at the bottom right corner is known as 'Perpetual Motion'. Artist Francisco Gazitua used the water wheels and mechanical components in the sculpture to represent a time when Liberty Village was bustling with industry.
