Excerpt from waterfallsofontario.com:

Set in the heart of Almonte, Grand Falls is difficult to describe. The top of the falls is formed by a low water control dam, which though artificial, doesn't impose too much on the scene. The river then falls over a series of steep cascades next to an old mill (which has been converted to touristy stores - go behind the building to find the old mill gears on display). The river then flows under the road bridge and then spreads out into a lower cascade, prior to emptying into a pond.

At low flow you can explore a "boulder-delta" in this area. At high flow during spring runnoff, don't leave the comfort of the road bridge. Same with the upper portion on the other side of the road - it can range from a trickle to a torrent, depending on stream discharge.
