The greening of Sudbury is considered a miracle. Due to the mining of copper and nickel, the landscape of Sudbury used to look like a moonscape, and the astronauts even used to practise their moon walk here. But by laying a layer of lime on the soil, the grass and trees started to grow again, and so far, more than 6 million trees had been planted.
