Opened by Ed Mirvish in 1948, this bargain store is celebrating its 58th anniversary in 2006.

Just slightly more than 10 years after this photo was taken, Honest Ed's is closing its doors one last time on December 31, 2016. The iconic lights at the corner of Bathurst and Bloor West will not be seen again.
