Excerpt from dundasheritage.com:

Situated in Dundas’ historic core, the Carnegie Library of 1910 is a distinguished component of the town’s provincially valuable streetscape. Architects Chapman and McGiffon of Toronto succeeded in creating a design that not only blended in with the commercial brick terraces but emphasized the building’s special role as the town’s first free public library. Particularly striking is the corner entrance way with its classical columns and imposing stairway. Andrew Carnegie provided the funds for the building and Colonel J.J. Grafton donated the site.
