This is Point Lobos, a nature reserve on the Californian Coast near to Monterey. It was a rather dull and dank day on our visit, so an ideal opportunity to test out the ten stop filter. Thanks for viewing.

During a visit to San Francisco last year I was amazed how the afternoon mist rolled in with predictable regularity. This shot was taken from the boat returning from Alcatraz and with the camera and 70-300 mm lens resting on the safety railing. The older, more colourful buildings basking in sunlight contrast nicely with the duller tones of the high-risers immersed in the fog. Thanks for looking.

San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, captured from Fisherman's Wharf. During our visit, we never actually saw the full extent of the bridge as it was always partially obscured by fog. Not ideal for the tourist, but made for some excellent photography. Thanks for viewing.

Tunnel View, one of the most iconic vistas in Yosemite National Park, if not North America. I was hoping to catch the peaks of El Capitan and Half Dome aglow with the light at sunset but arrived too late. Nevertheless, the scene across the valley at twilight did not disappoint. Thanks for viewing.
