The view from a pod at the summit of the London Eye looking south. The sun had set behind Westminster about 30 minutes previously, coinciding with the illumination of the Houses of Parliament. No tripods allowed on the Eye so I had to hold steady for 1/20 sec at f3.5. I also managed to avoid any internal reflections from the glass casing by wearing a dark shirt. Thanks for viewing.

Sunset tones in the skies across north west London and through the Eye, captured from the eighth floor of the Crown Plaza. I toyed with various crops to make the pods less central but ended up losing other detail so left the frame as it was. Thanks for viewing.

Whenever I visit London, I’m always amazed at the amount of building and renovation taking place – despite the recession. This 5 second exposure of the north bank of the Thames was taken during an evening stroll along the south bank on a half-term break last year. Thanks for looking.
