An incredible sunset coinciding with the passage of a weather front is reflected in the Tamar estuary.

I’ve visited Wembury a few times this autumn to capture the setting sun and on this occasion everything seemed to fit into place perfectly. The sun was setting behind the Mewstone, the waves were breaking on the rock platform at the top of the beach, the sky had colour and alto-cloud, and low sunlight was reflecting off the wet rocks. Thanks for looking.

Low winter light briefly illuminates the beach at Paignton, captured from beneath the pier; Torquay can be made out in the shade in the background. I used a circular polariser to enhance the colour and an ND grad to balance the lighting between sky and beach. Thanks for looking.

We haven’t had any snow this winter, but plenty of squally weather. This shower was captured passing the Mewstone at Wembury just before sunset a few weeks ago. Thanks for viewing.

A solitary boat moored in the upper reaches of the Yealm estuary. The buildings reflected in the water are rather grand, multimillion pound residences - how the other half lives. Thanks as always for your vies and comments.
