One of the relatively calm and peaceful stretches of the River Plym in Plymbridge Woods, captured during the peak of autumn colour. Thanks for viewing.

A bit unseasonal but just delving into the archives again. This is the River Plym at Shaugh Prior, Dartmoor, during a cold spell a few years back. The fallen branch allowed for the build up of some interesting ice features against the water cascading over the rocks, while the moss added a hint of colour. Thanks for looking.

Shafts of sunlight captured in Dewerstone Woods from the banks of the River Meavy. This image has been in my Lightroom folder for a while as I tinkered with the processing. I eventually settled on pulling the highlights from the top part of the frame to reduce contrast and reducing the overall clarity to give it a softer appearance. Thanks for viewing.

Returning to the car after photographing the cascading waters of the River Plym near Shaugh Prior I noticed the variety of elements on and around the footpath. With a low pov and wide angle I was able to capture this scene that shows off so much detail, texture and colour on the forest floor and beyond. Thanks for looking.

Always plenty of colour in Plymbridge Woods at the peak of autumn; shame it only lasts for a couple of weeks or until the wind picks up.
