This is the Plymouth Eye, captured on a long exposure earlier in the year and with one of the monuments on the Hoe as a static companion. It takes a few minutes to revolve so is not wheally that fast.

Thought I’d add some colour to the top of my photostream. These inflating balloons were captured at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta a few years ago. The fiesta runs during the second weekend in August but the balloon ascent is frequently called off owing to the “typical” British weather. Thanks for viewing.

The Plymouth Eye was recently dismantled but had been a distinctive landmark in the city for the past three years. This is one of my favourite shots of the wheel, captured through some evening mist at 300 mm and from our bedroom (sometimes I don't have to travel far!) Thanks for looking and a Happy New Year!

I haven’t managed to get to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta for several years so here’s a shot from the archives. This colourful scene was actually captured on 35 mm film and digitally converted to a TIF file. I adjusted the clarity, sharpness and noise in Lightroom to give it a clean look, albeit lacking some fine detail. Thanks for stopping by.
