I recently finisehd my selfbuild 10" Newtonian (f3.6) and I was curious whether I would be able to discover SNa ;-). My first try was SN2012A and I was surprised how easy it was to catch this supernova (see attached picture). If you like you can add it to your index.
I'm thinking to do little surveys with my computer-controlled mount. What would be the best regions (which maybe are not covered by professioinal surveys).
The series of images was taken on January 16th between 23h-24h GMT.
